Getting There
For many travelers, this proves to be the most scenic and convenient way to arrive after they land them at Dieppe. A direct ferry service is operated by DFDS between Dieppe and the UK at Newhaven, and these travelers will see the white cliffs from either side of the Channel on their journey. The Egg Hotel is only a 20-minute pleasant walk from the Dieppe ferry terminal through the town center, or it is a very cheap taxi ride away, thus very suitable for foot passengers.
Even for those coming by train, it is highly convenient. The central Gare de Dieppe is only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, from where there are direct and frequent services to Rouen, the major Normandy city, and easy connection to Paris from where one alights at Gare Saint-Lazare. So this place is an ideal location to base out in without a car and explore the neighborhood by train.
By car, Dieppe is easily accessible from the French motorway network. One should, nonetheless, bear in mind that the hotel does not have private parking. It is obligatory to park in one of the city's public car parks – maybe underground at the beach or that beside the castle. These may prove expensive and a 10-15 minute walk back to the hotel isn't great for those carrying luggage.
